A Week of Heart and Heritage

Happy February, Chimera Community! This week brings together two beautiful celebrations: our continued observance of Black History Month and the spirit of Valentine\'s Day. Both remind us of the importance of love, respect, and appreciation for one another.

Our Black History Month celebrations continue with this week\'s focus on African American innovators and inventors who changed the world. From traffic lights to blood banks, many everyday items we rely on were created or improved by African American inventors.

As Valentine\'s Day approaches, our schools will focus on lessons of kindness, friendship, and community. Elementary students are preparing classroom celebrations that emphasize treating everyone with respect and appreciation.

Let\'s spread love and learning throughout our community this week!
